MEANWHILE IN SECTOR 80 PLAYTEST

It's time for another playtest of MEANWHILE IN SECTOR 80, our upcoming game about escaping a hostile alien system by engineering equipment out of junk.

We're excited for you to test the game! It's a work in progress with a few rough edges but we think it captures the spirit of what we're trying to build!

Known Issues

• It's easy to get stuck in the terrain or in buildings! Try pressing 'G' if that happens. If that doesn't help, you can reload to a previous save or press 'F3' to open the editor and move the player out.
  • We're hoping to fix this in the next couple days!
• Quest scripting is missing for the game past the giant wall. This will go live in a future build!

Controls

• Move with WASD
• Sprint by holding SHIFT
• Hold RIGHT CLICK to move the camera
• Hold LEFT CLICK and drag to move objects around
• Press TAB to toggle between engineering and shooting modes
• When in shooting mode, press LEFT CLICK to use your weapon
• Press G if you get lodged in something, or revert to a previous save.
• Press V to scan the area for interactable objects
• Press M to open the map

The Editor

MS80 ships with a built-in editor available at any time! Launch it by pressing "Editor" on the main menu or pressing F3.

You can use the editor to spawn in prefabs, check out some of the other scenes included with the game, or to fix any bugs you run across.
