Hello all! It’s been one week since the first pre-alpha build. Today we’re releasing a new build with tons of improvements and fixes to the game!
- Added solar panels, which generate power during the day.
- Added rotation alignment to the dragger tool, which makes it much easier to align parts together in engineering mode.
- You can turn also turn this off to build wonky contraptions.
- Made the engineering mode dragger more responsive.
- Improved engineering mode UI.
- Added keybind hints to engineering mode to help players learn the controls.
- Wires are now much prettier looking.
- Implement a reload hint for empty firearms.
- Newly textured models:
- Work Light
- Railgun Rail
- Weapon Frame
- Various minor thermodynamic simulation improvements.
- Editor improvements:
- A new “Play Here” button that drops the player where the editor camera is facing.
- Improved lighting presets and time of day selector.
- Fixed a couple misleading interaction prompts in the game’s story
- Fixed cases where rotation would happen in an unintuitive direction
- Fixed flashlights not matching their light color.
- Fixed mouse locking when rotating objects.
- Upgraded wgpu, which should resolve some reports of graphics issues.
