MS80 Playtest — v0.4.1


It’s time for an update to our playtest build! This release brings along a bunch of improvements from the feedback we’ve received so far as well as the steady march of content.

Thanks to everyone who has played our game so far and given us fantastic feedback! We’re looking forward to continue making the best game we can.

All Changes

  • Added music to main menu and while playing
  • Added a keybind that’s always visible
  • Added textures for many objects that were previously untextured
  • Added more sounds and reworked audio balance
  • Added more parts to the demo, including parts for a jetpack
  • Added new level geometry and new buildings
  • Replaced some greybox assets with better geometry
  • Made nights brighter to improve navigation
  • Increased player speed by more than 2x
  • Improved the first few quests in the game
  • Improved post-processing effects
  • Improved character movement animations
  • Improved player movement when going up or down slopes
  • Fixed the sound options in the settings screen
  • Fixed objects appearing detached when moving at high speeds, like the player’s headlamp
  • Fixed many objects that should not be inspectable
  • Fixed crash when minimizing the window or making it very small
  • Fixed rendering when multiple planets without atmospheres are in the scene
